OUR WORK IN THE COMMUNITY

Supermaya is a proud consultant and strategic partner of The Eleanor Library (TEL), which aims to deliver books and learning materials to those who have no access to them in Masbate, Philippines. We work to connect schools with book donors and assist the Department of Education (DepEd) in their campaigns to promote reading and lifelong learning in adults and children. When you choose us as your branding and design consultant, part of the fees you pay us goes into local community support. We believe in sustainable business, community development, and leaving a lasting legacy for progress.

For education, progress, and the glory of God

TEL was formed and founded in memory of Dr. Eleanor Eme “Neneng” E. Hermosa, a passionate educator who graduated Valedictorian of Masbate High School class of 1962. It was her wish and vision to provide access to educational and learning resources to communities in Masbate, which is rich in natural resources and talent, but is one of the poorest provinces in the Philippines.

To date, TEL has delivered books and learning resources to around 15 schools and organizations in Masbate. From 2022-2024, TEL was active in supporting and participating in Mobo’s homegrown arts organization, Asosasyon ng mga Moboanong Artista’t Manunulat (AMAM). In 2024, the library focused on operations and setting up its in-house team. Since its inception in 2018, TEL logistics and operations have been supported by private funds from the family of the late Catalino “June” E. Hermosa, Jr., and donations (in cash and in kind) from various individuals.

If you would like to donate books, learning aids, school supplies and other resources to support the local schools in Masbate, Philippines through The Eleanor Library (TEL), please contact Maia Hermosa. Please also follow TEL on Facebook. Thank you!
